What? It's 2009?

Do you ever feel lost in time?

We didn’t make plans for New Year’s Eve.

Luckily, someone else made plans and invited us to join them. Trudy made a cheese/artichoke/spinach fondue and Greg provided dancing and a movie. Dancing in the form of Dance Dance Revolution on XBOX 360.

We must have been watching the movie when 2008 turned into 2009.

We didn’t even count down or shout, “Happy New Year!”

Haven’t made any resolutions. Yet.

Figured I’d get around to thinking about this new year sometime soon. It's always good to rethink what’s gone on and what’s coming up and turn over a new leaf or two.

But tonight, at the grocery store, the big display of candy hearts caught me off-guard (those retailers are always so eagerly jumping ahead) and I had to stop and think about what day it is: January 5, 2009.

Happy New Year!

Hey! Thanks for inviting me to your blog. This is great seeing what you've all been up to for the past couple of months. Hectic isn't it?

I'm not quite ready to embrace the new year yet, so I'm easing into it and not feeling panicked about resolutions yet (though I'm thinking about them).

The Valentine's stuff is ridiculous!

wow, I thought you had quit the blogging world:) LOved reading your post, you are so good with words, and your posts about jemma's tooth, the new year and each week of December are going to be so fun to read each year. ok, I'm doing it again, writing a comment on Michelle and Cam's account. I tried getting on my new account you made me, but it didn't work, do you happen to remember the address, I thought it was leanneandjohn, but I'm not sure. Anyway, why'd you go private? Maybe that's a stupid question:)

I was a bit taken aback when I saw the valentine's candy in the store as well.

This new year kind of sneaked up on me in a way that's never happened before! I feel like I'm only just now easing into it.
