I know, she's six, and a wobbly tooth is nothing to get too worked up about. But we are. She and I are anyway.

Nevermind that most of the kids in her class are missing multiple teeth, she was still fretting last night when she discovered that it was loose - thinking that maybe it's trying to come out "because it's rotten."
She could hardly relax enough to go to sleep as she had to keep feeling it with her finger, and then her tongue. The teeth brushing last night...it was a dramatic experience. Today she's taking care to make sure everything she eats is in small chunks so she doesn't have to use that tooth to bite down.
For her it's all drama. For me it's a bit of trauma. I kind of teared up after confirming her discovery.
I went through this when Jordan started losing teeth as well. It's just a sign of them growing up and changing - which is good, of course it's good, but it also makes me wistful.
Right before Jordan lost his first upper front tooth I took him and Jemma to have this picture taken. I love how they both look little together. Jemma was just starting to get a top tooth and Jordan was just starting to lose his. I had to adjust Jordan's tooth several times in between shots because it was barely hanging on.

I'm in no hurry for that first tooth to fall out. Jemma's not either. We both have our reasons.

It's sweet of you to get teary about Jemma losing her tooth. It's definitely a sign of getting older (losing the teeth and the crying I suppose).
It's so funny to think of you adjusting Jordan's tooth in-between takes.
The thought of you adjusting Jordan's tooth for the photo cracked me up!
I can see why you would be in no hurry for her to lose her first tooth. They never look that same after they start losing their teeth!
We have a lot of things around here that are trauma/drama.
