Halloween Book

Last year, in a burst of inspiration and creative energy, I made this Halloween photobook.

Every year the kids try to account for all the things they've dressed up as over the years, and I will sometimes oblige their curiuosity by pulling out boxes of photos and letting them rifle through until we find the Halloween ones. I had an idea to put a copy of all the Halloween costume photos together in one place.

This is just a 12x12 photobook. I printed each year, beginning with 1996 and going as far out as the book had pages, on orange paper, mounted the photos and replaced the plain white paper that was in each sleeve.

I keep it with all the other Halloween stuff, so they looked foward to pulling it out and seeing it again.

I love it! Your book is so classic looking. I have been wanting to make a Halloween scrapbook for awhile but the thought of scrapbook paper (and ribbons and bows) makes me tired however, I could handle making a book like yours and I LOVE how yours turned out! Thanks for the inspiration.

I did turn off my comments. Just trying it out, I feel an odd sense of freedom about it so I may leave them off.

Great idea! Simple, fast, and best of all, no rifling through all the costumes!

That's a great idea, wonderful keepsake! I loved all the details about your surgery, keep up the healing! I don't know if you have a Zupas in SL, but they have yummy soup too... I'm trying to think of things that will give you some variety :) Hang in there!

Holy cow!!! Look who I found in the land of blog!!! We have been talking about your family lately. Randy's mom and dad just bought a new car to replace a 22 year old car they had and they asked about you guys. I haven't heard anything since you left. It's good to read up on what's been going on!!! The kids are big!!!! Crazy!!! Good to see your blog.

This is a fun idea. I have various Halloween photos in the kids' scrapbooks, but I like the idea of having them all in one place like this.

This is a great idea. I think it's something I could actually do!!! Not too much work or creativity required. Just inspiration and a love for my kids, right?. Halloween is my favorite time of year (ok, it's a close 2nd to Christmas) but costumes are so much fun. This is fantastic, thanks for sharing.
