I took Super Jemma to Super Target today. She's always on the lookout for a treat and she knows that I'm selective about what treats she can get. So we're going down the cereal aisle when she breaks into song, "Sip sip, munch munch." And she's holding these:

It's not the first time this exact scenario has played out. But it is the first time I have given in. She explained that she's seen the commercial on three-three (33, the Disney Channel) and she pointed out that they give you energy. As if she needs more energy.

Those clever marketers! This product is awful. I can't even think of what food group this would fit in. At least we balanced this choice out by getting a more healthy treat. Raisins. Now that's more like it.

You're so conscientious! I'd just give in and then let her have 'em for breakfast.
Check out Honeycomb cereal. I was pleasntly surprised when I read the label. There is nothing bad in it and the sugars are LOW!! It is now a regular on our shelf and Cassidy thinks I'm a cool Mom!
It grosses me out to think of what these are made of, but then again I buy sugar cereals regularly so my credibility probably isn't too high on this matter.
