Turning Six

Here's how to make a little girl's 6th birthday very happy:

*Let her wake up to a festive birthday display, including wrapped gifts, balloons and cake.

*Make sure the cake lives up to her specifications. (Pink frosting with a white six, although I apparently fell a little short in that it was expected to have more frosting swirls and sprinkles. And the super camera flash washed out the coconut six.)

*Help out in her classroom at school and bring treats.

*Let her bring along a friend to McDonald's for lunch.

*A trip to Build-a-Bear workshop.

*Indulge her request for dinner at The Training Table, even if it is only for macaroni & cheese and the novelty of ordering by telephone.

*Surprise her with the two-wheeled scooter she's been wanting for a long, long time. (The one that's pink and that her brother will definitely not want to borrow it since it's B-B-B-Barbie!)

Happy Birthday Jemma! I'm jealous of the cake and the pink scooter! Madison isn't all than in to pink anything anymore, in fact she repeatedly tells me "I don't want to look too girly". Sad huh?

Brilliant move getting the Barbie scooter. It will forever be solely Jemma's.

Happy Birthday Jemma! You made it such a special day. I love the idea of her waking up to presents and cake. I've never done it that way- usually just a special breakfast. She is such a lucky girl.
