I was just at the post office and saw an amazing thing happen. I was there to drop some things off, so didn't need to wait in line and I was happy about that because the line was soooo long. A lady coming in after me turned right around and left, muttering about how difficult it is to mail things in December. It did look daunting!
Everyone standing in the line was quiet and no one looked very happy to be there. Then this lady - a customer - spontaneously broke open a bag of treats and started passing them out to everyone in line. It was an instant transformation! People started talking and laughing and saying how that gesture was making the wait go faster. It was great - an unexpected, out of the ordinary thing that made all the difference. Next time I anticipate waiting in line, I just might bring along something sweet to share.

I would never have thought of that! Just when you give up on people, they really suprise you!
That is something straight out of a Hallmark commercial & you were so lucky to be there in real life! I bet that just made your holiday season.
That's a great story. What kind of treats were they? I want to do that the next time I know I'm going to have to stand in line.
Hey ya nerds!
Michelle found our blog, and gave us hers. We saw your name on her blog, so we decided to take a peek. How are things going? It is always good to see you guys. We are posting your blog to ours.

Jill - I don't know what the treats were exactly, I was on my way out. They were in a big red bag though. Maybe chocolate? I'd suggest something individually wrapped like hershey kisses or candy canes.
From small things...
