Giving Thanks, part one

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

We have so much to be thankful for. I've been writing down things as they come to mind -- some big and obvious, others are things that maybe I sometimes take for granted because they're just there everyday. This week you will get to see my list (in no particular order).

I'm thankful for:

  • Chris, who teaches me something every day

  • A 5 year old with an active mind and a happy disposition

  • An 11 year old who reminds me of the importance of our choices every day

  • A strong, healthy physical body

  • A newly acquired love of exercise

  • People who share their talents

  • Good books to read

  • The resources of the Internet

  • Records - journals, scriptures, etc.

  • People who are different

  • The feeling of this time of year

  • A reliable vehicle

  • Automatic ice makers

  • Hot water

  • A scented candle (woodberry in particular)

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

  • A living prophet

  • The gift of the spirit

  • The visiting teaching program

  • Challenges that are actually opportunities

  • Temples

  • Modern medicine

  • Music that can transform a moment

  • Good children who are (usually) kind to each other and willing to help

  • Hugs

that's a really good idea, we certainly can take advantage of all that we have, and when they are written down, it really puts life into perspective.

Great list Laurie! But I was thinking that you should also be thankful that you have a husband who looks like Ethan Hawke cause that's hot. (Tehehehe) I remeber still being in my teens when you got married and we all thought Chris looked like Ethan Hawke, so good job Laurie!

How funny-Ethan Hawke. Chris is a good looking guy. It is just wierd to think that people say my brother's hot! We all think he was the one who did good in every area! I loved your list and am excited for part 2. I also enjoyed your comments on visiting teaching. Cam is struggling right now because ward members aren't excited about it so I will pass on your comments to him. Hopefully will will see you guys sometime this weekend. We will bring up the ipod and car seat. Thanks, Michelle

Chris, does teach really well!! He should be a teacher. He would be great. We need good teachers. Either that or a counselor. He could counsel there in the Utah Village.

That's a cute family picture, Jordan looks like you and Jemma looks like Chris...I never noticed before.

This is a great list. Any one of these is a blessing so it's kind of amazing to consider you have ALL of these.
